Penang - Day 1

Memandangkan we didn't take the Yasmines any where for the school holiday, Pakdin decided we go to Penang for a short getaway during our balik kampung trip last month.

Pagi 28th December tu after breakfast kat rumah Kak Chik, kitorang gerak ke Penang.  This time we took a ferry to the island... The girls and I were so excited sebab that was our first experience naik ferry.  I find it convenient la naik ferry ni sebab you wouldn't face the traffic jam kat Penang Bridge tu... plus, the jetty located dekat dengan town... so sangatlah convenient.

Our first activity was to stroll along the Penang Street Art area.  Kalau tak silap kat area Victoria Street.  

stop kejap kat sini tuk makan cendol and ais kacang... sedap uols... 

managed to buy t-shirts for the girls... can't remember when was the last time I ate muachi... jumpa kat sini... terus beli... Pakdin is a first timer... alhamdulillah... he likes it too... 

Dah puas and penat berjalan kat area street art tu, kitorang ke hotel untuk check-in and rehat sekejap.  Sebab most hotels are fully booked sebab christmas, Pakdin booked a room at a boutique hotel... The Sovereign.... kalau tengok exterior hotel ni mesti korang akan expect bilik hotel ala-ala cap ayam gittew... tapi tidak ye puan-puan... the room is spacious and superb... me likey... so, never ever underestimate boutique hotels yea... 

Lepas rehat, solat and freshened up ourselves, kitorang keluar lagi... this time ke Gurney Plaza... for our late-late-late lunch... We had our lunch kat McD Gurney Plaza... we hadn't been to McD for ages dah... boikot Zionis katanya... 

After lunch kitorang jenjalan kat Gurney Plaza tu... bagi the girls happy.  They wanted to have a train ride... okey... mama and baba follow jer.... 

Then we walked to Gurney Drive hawkers centre.  Kat sini tempat makan dia divided into 2 sections i.e. non-muslim and muslim.  Area non-muslim tu sangat happening okeh.. the muslim area pun tak kurang meriahnya.... Sebab still kenyang, kitorang just makan pasembuq ja... share... then we balik hotel... plan nak ke nasi kandaq beratuq pon cancel.  Postponed till the next Penang trip... hehehhee
